Inspire Kidz, a charity founded in 2009. The mission of this nonprofit is to provide building blocks of success to foster children. We understand there are academic struggles and self-esteem issues associated with the trauma these children have faced during the most critical developmental phases of life.
We are committed to changing the statistics facing this population.
-Every 2 minutes a child enters foster care
-Currently there are 400,000 plus children in foster care
-50% do not graduate from high school
-Over 90% of foster children end up in jail
Inspire Kidz, has served children in both San Diego and Riverside Counties. Our current reach will take us up to the Bay Area fall of 2020.
The process is simple, we work both the foster parents and case workers at Child Protective Services to initiate an enrollment process to assess how the child can best be supported. Once the application has been approved, we reach out to the service provider in order to issue the scholarship amount.
Some of the programs the children have participated include:
Toys for Tots
Our goal is to always provide scholarships that will allow for academic and positive self-esteem growth.
